Constituents of Ainabkoi Sub County in Uasin Gishu are curious about the whereabouts of their immediate former legislator Samuel Chepkonga.

Chepkonga lost the last general elections to William Chepkut and has since gone silent. He is not as vocal as he used to be when he was in office.

“Even if we did not elect him, it doesn’t mean that we hate him. He left a good legacy and he should at least be coming on the ground frequently to inspect development projects and keep the current MP on the spot check,” said Alfred Rono, a resident of Kapsoya estate within Ainabkoi constituency.

Rono added that Chepkonga is one of the most dedicated and serious legal minds not only in Ainabkoi but in the country hence his input is highly needed to the enforcement of the governments' Big Four Agenda in Ainabkoi sub-county and Kenya as a whole.

“This is an era of the handshake and it is high time leaders who lost in elections worked together with the incumbents to foster peace, unity, and development. We besiege Hon. Chepkonga to be close to us since he has been a legislator before and he knows the way to go,” said John Kimeli, an Ainabkoi constituent.

Chepkonga was one of the most vocal legislators in the last parliament and was also the chairman of the Justice and Legal affairs committee.

It seems Ainabkoi constituents still value the work done by Chepkonga during his tenure and they think he should still be involved in development agenda of the nation especially the Big Four Agenda.
