Tanzanian star singer Diamond Platnumz has come out to admit that he respects Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi. The ‘Inama’ singer made the admission while appreciating Eric Omondi for supporting his new song titled ‘Kanyaga’.

According to the singer who is one of the most celebrated African singers, Eric Omondi is also a source of pride for him.

“Much Respect to My Brother @ericomondi ...You are among the comedians who make me to be proud of being an East African (Wewe ni Miongoni mwa wana Comedy Mnaonifanya nijivunie kuwa Mwana Africa Mashariki),” Diamond wrote on Instagram.

The ‘Tetema’ hitmaker also appreciated the comedian for the crucial role that he plays in uniting East Africans.

“Thank you for continuing to sustain unity, love and peace among East Africans. You are exemplary and Tananians love you (Asante kwa kuendelea kudumisha Mshikamano, Upendo na Amani yetu wana Africa Mashariki....wewe ni Mfano bora na Tanzania Tunakupenda sana,” Diamond Instagram post read.

Diamond was reacting to a parody video of his latest song that was made by Eric Omondi. The song which was released on Tuesday has been rending and gained more than 1 Million views on YouTube within 13 hours.

Eric Omondi’s parody video of the song, on the other hand, has gained more than 40,000 views within 11 hours of publication on YouTube.

Eric Omondi is a renown Kenyan comedian who is popular for producing parody videos.
