The two met at the former prime minister's office at Capitol Hill, Nairobi. In a tweet on Monday, Raila revealed the broad agenda of the meeting that informed the discussions.

He said that they held discussions on the journey that Kenya was making.

The Norwegian assured the ODM supremo that her country was willing to continue supporting development projects in Kenya.

"Held discussions with @ERognlie, @NorwayInKenya's Ambassador at Capitol Hill Square. Our journey as a nation featured prominently in our talks and she expressed her government's willingness to continue supporting development projects in the country, " Raila Odinga said.

The meeting comes just a day before President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga formally receive the much-hyped Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report on Tuesday.

President Uhuru promised to avail copies of the much-anticipated document to Kenyans so that they can read it and make an informed decision.

He urged politicians not to jump into conclusions before reading the BBI report and internalising its contents.

It is not clear whether the BBI report was part of the discussions between Raila and the Norwegian ambassador.
