At least 15 MPs from DP William Ruto's Rift Valley stronghold snubbed a meeting on Wednesday at Weston Hotel in Nairobi.
Meant to discuss emerging cracks in Jubilee, organisers however had indicated that they were to discuss the conduct of Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen.
A source privy to the details of the meeting however says Ruto grazed the meeting even though he did not take photos which any legislator present.
"There are serious issues in Jubilee and they discussed them in length. The DP was briefly in the meeting before he left. Cracks within the party were discussed," he said.
But 15 legislators, who also belong to Rift Valley parliamentary caucus, however snubbed the meeting that had been called to discuss the way forward.
They include Alfred Keter, Vincent Tuwei, Alex Kosgey, Silas Tiren, Kangongo Bowen, Janet Sitienei, Gladys Shollei, Margaret Kamar, Wilson Kogo, Samuel Moroto, Joshua Kandie, William Kipsang, Ronald Tanu, Moses Cheboi and Stephen Nalelia.
After the meeting, Murkomen said: " We have discussed a wide range of issues and talked about being consitent and honest to one another."
This comes even as reports emerged that Ruto's allies have registered two parties which they want the DP to use in 2022 as vehicle to State House.
