Unfortunately, when a person contacts this disease, he/she will not show signs immediately. Symptoms may start to appear after two to twenty one days.
When a person starts showing Ebola Virus Disease symptoms, he/she is vulnerable and might transmit it to others.
Symptoms of Ebola include; fever, severe headache, muscle pain, weakness, fatigue, diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal (stomach) pain, unexplained haemorrhage among others.
When in an area affected by this disease, always avoid coming in contact with items used on Ebola victims, blood, body tissues, bats and non-human primates to stay safe from this disease.
Ebola can be treated diagnosed early. One can be treated by infusion of body fluids and electrolytes (body salts) into their vein, oxygen therapy and also using medication to help support their blood pressure.
