A four-year-old baby was on Thursday kidnapped by an unknown woman.

Anuda Mohamed Abbas, was on June 14 kidnapped by an unknown woman when she coming back from school in the evening.

A report shared on Mombasa County Government Watch Facebook page reveal that the girl was heading home at around 4 pm on Thursday before she met a woman who then turned out to be her kidnapper. 

Anuda is a pupil at the Hamnzi Academy in Bamburi area, Kisauni constituency in Mombasa. 

She was wearing her green school uniform when the kidnapping happened.

The case has already been reported at Kiembeni Police Station. Citizens are being asked to report the matter to the nearest police station should they see the girl.

"Anuda Mohamed Abbas, from mtopanga, four years old, pupil at hamnzi academy, bamburi area, kidnapped by an unknown woman on 14/6/2019, around 4pm while heading home from school. Report to nearest Police station with any information," read the Facebook post.

In recent weeks, cases of children going missing have been reported, with the most recent one being three class 8 pupils from Nyali constituency who went missing in March.

They were later found in Kilifi County after they surrendered to police. It was alleged they were abducted by a bodaboda rider.
