Clara Chepkirui was among the top scorers in the 2018 KCPE. She hails from Kaplelartet Ward, born to a humble family that cannot raise her admission fee, leave alone school fees. Her story has been all around on social media and some people were touched by her situation.

She was lucky to be selected to Precious Blood High School in Riruta but that seemed to be a dream to her. She was raised by a single parent, a mother who could not afford to take her to the school due to lack of finances.

The poor girl was found on the roadside crying bitterly hoping for a well-wisher's hand so as to join high school. Clara said she was ready to work as a house girl so as to raise her school fees.

One Johnstone Koech, opted to share Clara's story on social media. A number of his friends shared the facebook, attracting a helping hand. Several people who came across the post offered to raise money for her school fees.

Koech also appealed to politicians in Kericho County help Clara go through her secondary school education.

Speaking to Hivisasa.com on Tuesday morning, Koech, who's also Clara's neighbour confirmed that she had indeed been admitted to form one at Precious Blood Riruta.

"Clara is now in school. We got help from Kenyans and yesterday (Monday) we took her for admissions. We are grateful to the Kenyans who offered their helping hand," confirmed Koech. He was speaking shortly before leaving Nairobi for Kericho having successfully helped Clara join the school.
