Speaking on Friday while officially closing a three-day workshop at a Garissa Hotel, Korane urged the administrators to devote their time to serving the public instead of politicking.

"Time to engage in politics is over. Your core mandate is to serve the public not just holding big offices in your stations. Let us not don uniforms that serve to intimidate the public but to supervise our projects at your respective levels and engage in peace building and cohesion activities," Korane urged the administrators.

Korane also revealed that his administration was considering the development of a scheme of service particularly for ward administrators that would specify the criteria of new recruitment in terms of entry minimum requirements in employment, promotion and even retirements.

The county boss further thanked the USAID for facilitating the capacity building workshop for the all county administrators.
