There is a massive outcry in Dabasity and Kutulo areas following allegations that KDF were subjecting residents to torture and gross violations of human rights.
Residents claim that members of the disciplined forces have been subjected them to torture.
"Our youth and men are being beaten on a daily basis. KDF officers who are supposed to protect us are now turning against our men and youth. It is not the first time," said an Abdirahman, a local whose son is nursing bruises from the officers' beating.
This is not the first time the locals are accusing the KDF soldiers of harassing them.
Just last week, local leaders called on the government to investigate the cases and let the errant officers face the law but nothing is forthcoming.
The areas that have since expressed their concerns over the conduct of the KDF officers include Kutulo, Ijara, Dabasity areas most of which lie in Mandera South and Garissa counties.
