Starehe constituency politician Steve Mbogo has been held by police in Nairobi.

Mbogo told the media that he was being held after showing up at the Dusit attack scene with Automatic Rifle (AR) machine.

He was pictured at the scene wearing sweat pants holding his machine. He is reportedly at the Muthaiga police station. 

According to eDaily, Mbogo confirmed that he was at the Nairobi Area police post.

“They asked me to come and verify the ownership of my guns. We’re currently going through that process at the station. Hopefully, we’ll be done with it soonest possible,” he told eDaily on phone.

Police in Nairobi have however denied the reports.
