Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna has warned university students against running after sponsors.
Nguna wants university students to concentrate on their studies and build their future through education.
He said cases of university students ruing for sugar daddies and mummies are worriedly overwhelming.
The Wiper MP said mysterious murders are increasing as a result of love gone soar between varsity students and sponsors.
Speaking at Nzawa ward on Wednesday, the MP said it is not right for university ladies and men to engage in relationships with older women and men.
“University students should avoid shortcuts and concentrate on their education for better future,” Nguna said.
Reacting to the brutal murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno, the MP asked the police to hasten the probe.
He said the killers must be hunted down and arraigned in the court of law.
Nguna said the country is on shock over the brutal murder of Sharon and her unborn baby.
Investigations into Sharon’s killing is in on top gear.
The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has vowed to take stern action against those behind the murder.
Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s Personal Assistant Michael Oyamo is among suspects in police custody.
