Kenya once again failed their loyal fans when they were brutally hammered by Morocco in the qualifier match played in Rabat. The Kenyan defence, led by Captain Musa Otieno and George Owino was unable to stop the likes ofJaouad Zairi who scored a hattrick, Yousuf Hadji and Mounir Diane who scored a single goal each.

Musa Otieno scored the consolation goal in the dying minutes to make it 5-1. Duncan Ochieng' was singled as an underperformed player on the pitch.

Nigeria 1-1 Kenya

Kenya had taken an early lead through a thunderous Francis Kahata's free kick. Kenya maintained their lead to the 90th minute where one minute was added.
