Millicent Boni Mugadi is Nairobi’s Ziwani Member of County Assembly (MCA) serving a second term in office.
Mugadi quit acting to join the murky waters of politics in 2013.
She won the Ziwani Ward seat for the first time in 2013 on a Jubilee ticket joining few women who were actively involved in city politics at the time.
Mugadi has a huge fanbase comprising of young people who look up to her as their role model.
But who is Mugadi ?
She was born, raised up and schooled in Nairobi’s Eastlands.
The prettiest Jubilee MCA has a Diploma in Tourism and Travel.
The Ziwani MCA is also a fashion designer, a model and radio presenter.
She is also an actor having acted in the TV series ‘Team Together’.
In 2011, Mugadi contested in the Big Brother Africa (BBA) sixth edition but was eliminated.
Mugadi joined politics in 2013 wining the Ziwani MCA seat.She retained the seat in the 2017 general election.
The MCA is ‘engaged’ but has kept her relationship top secret.
She is a staunch Christian and loves reading the Bible.
“I spend most of my free time reading the Bible,” she said in an interview on Thursday.
In April 2017, the MCA survived death narrowly after her vehicle was involved in an accident along the Nairobi- Nakuru highway.
She spend one week in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before recovering.
The Ziwani MCA says that her agenda is to serve and empower women, youth and persons with disabilities.
“I have big dreams for Nairobi people and I will be always ready to serve them,” she says.
There are speculations that she could contest for the Nairobi women rep seat in 2022.
