Political analyst Brian Weke has cautioned Deputy President William Ruto against fully relying and trusting his allies from Mt Kenya region, under the Tangatanga tag.
Speaking on Saturday, Weke noted that the politicians are very likely to troop back home on orders of President Uhuru Kenyatta, ditching him (Ruto) at the last minute.
"They are only fooling Ruto, they will turn against him in 2022. (Hawa wanamdanganya tu Ruto, watamruka ikifika 2022)," he said on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi, Saturday morning.
According to Weke, the region hardly supports an outsider for the presidential election, a characteristic that has repeatedly shown itself during elections.
The former Makadara parliamentary hopeful urged politicians to go slow on politicking, warning those already making plans that they may soon be shocked.
"Time for politics is not here yet, let people go slowly. This thing will leave people burnt. (Mambo ya siasa bado, watu waende polepole. Hii mambo itakuja kuwachoma)," he added.
