Raila Odinga's remarks in a pre-recorded interview with Citizen TV continues to elicit sharp reactions from DP William Ruto's handlers.
In the interview on Friday, Odinga questioned the source of wealth of the DP, who he accused of donating millions to delegations visiting him.
Mr Odinga wondered how the DP is capable of feeding the delegation and giving them money moments after visiting him.
But Emmanuel Talam, Ruto's Deputy Director of Communication, wondered why it was a crime for the DP to host delegations.
"The "People's President" has a problem with leaders hosting people in their homes! We live in interesting times! @OleItumbi @kipmurkomen," he said in reference to Raila.
It was Raila's last interview so far to any media house this year. He insisted that 2020 will be the year for a referendum despite Ruto's allies refuting the need for a referendum.
Earlier in the same interview, Mr Odinga had insisted that he has never joined the Jubilee party as claimed by DP William Ruto's team.
“If the war on corruption is a sign that I have joined Jubilee, then I don’t regret…There are some many Kenyans who want to be president come 2022. I don't think there is anybody openly fighting the DP," he said.
