Monica Lavender Okoth, widow of departed Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth has revealed more details about their marriage.
In her tribute during Okoth's memorial service at the Starehe Boys Center in Nairobi, she revealed how the two of them traversed the world together and engaged in all sorts of jobs.
According to Mrs Okoth, they have lived together in a total of 12 houses all around the world, after their meeting in Austria 21 years ago, when they were international students.
She added that they lived a good life with the departed leader who succumbed to colorectal cancer on Friday, after two years of battling the disease.
"I have led an incredible life with Ken. We have lived all over the world. We had all sorts of different jobs. We have had 12 different houses together. We have been truly privileged," she said on Wednesday.
Mrs Okoth narrated how in love they were, adding that they enjoyed a close relationship.
"We visited so many countries all over the world and we were truly best friends. There was nothing that we didn't know about each other, there is nothing that we had not forgiven each other," she added.
She recalled how Okoth was determined to beat the disease and stuck strictly to all his doctors' instructions as well as honouring each and every appointment.
Okoth succumbed to cancer while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital, only weeks after his return from France where he had been undergoing treatment for months.
The MP died aged 41.
