The Independent and Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairman Wafula Chebukati has weighed in on the litany of concerns raised by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Speaking after meeting the party's officials on Wednesday, Mr Chebukati revealed the agenda that was discussed when he met ODM officials.
Among the sticking issues that were discussed was the issue of the voter register with the chairman saying that an agreement had been reached to serve the party with an up to date register.
"We have agreed today that, as we wait for next week the ODM party will be given the 2017 register and the names of the voters who registered as voters up to date so that they can do their verification, " the IEBC chairperson said. (1:06-1:21)
Another issue that was discussed was the state of preparedness of the electoral body.
Chebukati assured that all the materials required for a successful poll were ready.
The ODM party had demanded to be given the register bearing all the names of the voters in the constituency.
Political temperatures have been rising as the date of the by-election closes in with ODM and Jubilee trading fire over the conduct of the campaigns.
Jubilee has rubbished claims that it is intent on rigging the elections as claimed by ODM.
The Kibra constituency is a turf of the ODM party having been represented for years by the party's leader for years.
