A week ago, Dr Ruto visited the larger Nyamira County where he promised massive campaigns again ODM leader in the region which Raila Odinga has dominated for ages.

But in an interview on Saturday, Bosire said ODM still remains the strongest party in Kenya, adding that 'Ruto should first get a party' of his own.

"ODM is the strongest party in Kenya. It remains strong and has structures. Let him (Ruto) first find a party if his own then declare ours dead," he said.

The former Kitutu Masaba MP added: "He can't lecture us on how to campaign. He's just dreaming. When the right time comes, we shall place him where he belongs."

Bosire said the party is keen to revamp, adding that despite small internal issues, it will still dominate politics for many years to come.

"We are revamping. Like for instance in Nyamira, they will fail flat. We have mechanisms that guide us. Nobody can demean the biggest party in Kenya."

His sentiments comes hours after appeals court awarded ODM Sh4 billion for development of parties. The money had accrued since 2011.
