For the third time in as many weeks, President Uhuru Kenyatta's former campaigner Walter Nyambati asked for more time to launch an election petition at the Supreme Court.
Scheduled mention first on 10th September, Supreme Court Registrar pushed it to 17th before agreeing the matter to be handled on 24th September.
But on Monday, the court had again to give the former Kitutu Masaba more time to file a solid case by postponing morning sittings until in the afternoon.
Governor John Nyagarama's team however, insists that the petition is punctured and should not be allowed to stand.
"He has even struggled to launch the election petition. He should just drop it," argued Kefa Miller, head of GPS.
But a lawyer, who had been executing the case in Nyambati's team, claims that the former MP is broke up continue with the matter.
Mr. Osoro Mogikoyo, claimed that Nyambati had failed to raise legal fee for his counsels.
"He had given me a fake cheque and I am told that he kept the current team of lawyers waiting after failing to pay them."
In the case, Nyambati is contesting Nyagarama's victory in which IEBC declared the latter a winner having garnered 65,000 votes.
Before joining the gubernatorial contest, Nyambati was in charge of Jomo Kenyatta Foundation, a position he was appointed by Uhuru Kenyatta in 2014.
