Michael Juma Oyamo has been adversely mentioned in the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.
This is after it was alleged that he was the one who planned abduction of the university student together with Homa Bay County-based Nation reporter Barack Oduor.
Oduor managed to escape from the abductors but for Otieno, her body was later found dumped in a forest.
With Oyamo now the talk of every media house and even social media, some of his schoolmates have opened up on his life as a student.
According to the students quoted by the Stanard, but who sought anonymity, Oyamo was a very religious young man who once served as an altar boy at a local Catholic church.
"He was a good guy, always smartly dressed and very polite. He was a pious (devout) Catholic and never missed church," a former Oyamo's classmate is quoted by the Standard.
The Personal Assistant (PA) to Migori governor Okoth Obado went to the famous St. Joseph's Rapogi High School in Uriri Sub County, Migori County in the 1990’s where governor Obado was his teacher.
"Oyamo was my classmate and Obado taught us physics in form one in 1996. He later taught us accounting in form three. Oyamo was one of Obado's best students as he was very good in physics," another former student said.
The PA was arrested last week after being linked to the abduction and murder of Sharon Otieno whose body was found in Kodera forest.
