Speaking during a fundraiser at AIC Kimoson Church in Uasin Gishu on Sunday, the MP said that the former Prime Minister has succeeded in peddling confusion into Uhuru's leadership.

He added that Kenyans no longer have hope in the government courtesy of his attempts to land the nation into a referendum and now says that they are ready to combat him going forward.

Speaking in the presence of Deputy President William Ruto, Barasa said that they will advise the DP to go for the Prime Minister's slot should the constitutional changes ultimately come.

"If he has hopes of the premier position in the next government, we will also advice Ruto to stop his presidential bid and opt for the same seat.

No one says that Raila should be the ultimate person for the prime minister post," he was quoted by the Standard.

Raila and team have been pushing for among others, reforms to expand the executive to include more positions, in want both him and Uhuru say will enhance inclusivity.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader said earlier in the month that the changes might come before the end of this year.

But Ruto's allies are saying is a plot to block his presidential bid by switching the powers and taking them elsewhere.
