In an explosive affidavit, Maribe, who is fighting to save her blossoming career, also dispelled claims by the police that she was in the company of Irungu when Monica was murdered, adding that she was asleep.

"When he came, he was saying that 'I love you, I am sorry'. I tried to ask him to calm down because the noise could have woken up the baby.

"I panicked because he was persistent. I heard gunshots outside and when I checked, he was down with blood oozing out," recalled Maribe.

Thereafter, she claims, with assistance of their neighbour Brian Kassaine, they rushed him to various health facilities for medication.

Mr. Irungu and Maribe have denied orchastrating the death of Monica Kimani, a lady whose lifeless body was found in her Kilimani apartments.

The two will return to court on Wednesday October 16th where their bail application will be heard and determined by Justice James Wakiaga.

In her affidavits, Maribe further urges the court to free her on bond because of her child on needs attention back at home.
