The Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) has tabled a petition to the Uasin Gishu County Assembly seeking for the sacking of County Executive Member (CEC) in charge of Health, Evelyn Rotich.
Through its KMPDU North Rift branch Secretary-General, Ismael Ayaibei they want the CeC shown the door due to incompetence and abuse of office.
Ayaibei appeared before the Health committee to present his petition.
Speaking to the press after listening to the KMPDU petition on Monday, the chairman of Health Committee in Uasin Gishu County Assembly, Hosea Some, said they have listened to their petition and they will give their verdict after listening to both parties.
"After listening to their petitions, we will now call the relevant person who has been accused so that we may know what really happened after, we will make a comprehensive decision on the same," said Some.
He said the committee will conduct their work in a free and fair manner so that both parties will get justice.
"The CEC Health, Evelyn Rotich will be coming to the committee to shed light on the same. The petition hearing will take two to three days," he added.
