Nyaribari Masaba MP Ezekiel Machogu has explained why Deputy President William Ruto's tour to his constituency was pushed from Thursday October, 18, 2018 to Friday.
The lawmaker said DP Ruto will on Thursday attend Cabinet meeting hence the decision to push the tour to Friday.
"DP Ruto will be in Keroka on Friday because he will be attending a meeting on Thursday. The tour is still ongoing and I am urging members of the public to shun falsehood being spread around that the tour has been cancelled," he said.
He said the Deputy President will launch the tarmacking of Sosera-Getengereri-Ekona-Ramasha road on Friday before he will preside over a fund drive at Amabuko.
Mr. Machogu urged members of the public to turn in large numbers to welcome DP Ruto on Friday because he will be bringing goodies.
"Politics of political parties won't take us anywhere. Locals and local leaders need to turn up in large numbers to welcome DP Ruto. It is time we should push the building bridges initiative which was started by NASA leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta," he noted.
