Socialite Bridget Achieng has once again come out to share out with the world the reason she had to lighten her skin.
The expectant queen whose roots can be traced in Kibera has said that she bleached so that men could hit on and finally date her.
Speaking this Wednesday in a TV interview, she revealed that because of her skin, she never attracted men nor job opportunities.
"When I was 22-years old, I went for acting auditions but I failed to qualify due to the color of my skin. In one of the auditions, I was the best candidate but the judge told me my skin tone was not what they wanted," she revealed.
She had to bleach and boost her self-esteem up after having the same problem while growing up as a teenager. Achieng who is expected had her skin color changed to what she wanted back in 2014
Achieng is among the few socialites who have come clean and shared with the public what it cost to bleach as well as the products used during the process.
“Sometimes, I would go out with my friends and men would approach them because of their skin tone, and not even look my way because I was dark. I also had self-esteem issues growing up. I vowed to bleach when I got money and in 2014, when I landed employment, I decided to bleach my skin,” she added.
