This comes after social media was awash with news of Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwah ditching Ruto's campaign team for fear that 'he was unsellable' in Mt Kenya region.

The aide said: "We are organising the camp. We must know those who are ready to walk the right path and those who are used by external forces to sabotage us."

"We are aware that Ichungwah has quit, Eugene Wamalwa and Ababu Namwamba are no longer with us. It's tough but we shall find replacement," he said in confidence since he's not authorized to speak on behalf of the team.

Apparently, both Mr Wamalwa and Namwamba have conspicuously missed DP Ruto's Western Kenya campaigns lately raising eyebrows.

Instead, Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Bonnie Khalwale, Rashid Achesa and a host of local MPs have been helping Ruto traverse the populous region for over 15 trips he has made.

Borabu seasoned politician Patrick Osero, a close confidant of the DP, could neither confirm nor deny the latest development, only suggesting that he will 'investigate''investigate'.

"I will investigate and get back to you soonest. I don't want to say anything unless I have permission," he said.

Last week, a Ford Kenya campaigner, Aggrey Nalianya, claimed that Wamalwa had ditched Ruto's camp after realising that he felt threatened with Luhya unity calls.
