There was drama on Monday evening in Chebilat, Borabu Nyamira County after a woman was caught in bed with her brother-in-law.
Villagers said Teresa Nyangweso, a mother of one has been living alone because her husband works as a tea picker in Kericho.
"Teresa received her brother-in-law identified as Mosioma as her visitor in absence of her husband. After they had lunch together in the house they sent the child outside to play with others when they ended up going to bed," said a worried villager Maurice Ongoro.
Mr Ongoro said a neighbor who went to borrow a matchstick from Teresa's house busted them in the act and alerted other neighbors.
"It was a shameful experience because Teresa and the man were frogmarched from the house naked before they were given several canes," said Ongoro.
Area Nyumba Kumi official Daniel Okemwa said Mosioma revealed that Teresa lured her to bed.
"The woman's husband promised to arrive from Kericho on Tuesday for the matter to be discussed in lengthy before necessary action is taken against the two new lovers," said Okemwa.
An elder Ezekiel Onyuri condemned the two saying it is an abomination.
