A 31-year-old woman and her daughter drown on Monday evening while bathing at a river in Kamsiran village in Kapropita Soi.
The woman, accompanied by her two daughters, had gone to the river to fetch water.
Her husband, Nato Koinange, said they suspect the late decided to bathe in the river together with her seven-year-old daughter before they drowned.
They left the other child, aged 3, on the banks of the river.
When a search for the two started, the 3-year-old pointed into the water when asked on the whereabouts of her mother and sister.
"At around 6:40 pm, I found my daughter crying few meters from the pond which was by the roadside, and when I asked her where was her mother she pointed into the water, saying that they were inside" the widower said.
The bodies were retrieved and taken to Kabarnet hospital mortuary.
