Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has offered certificates of congratulations to all patients at the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital.
This is a move meant to congratulate the patients as they head to the new year.
In photos shared on the county's official Facebook page, the congratulations certificates has the Governor's photo.
The move has not gone unnoticed as some patients have lauded the county boss who is credited for turning around the status of the health services in the county.
Governor Sang popularly know as 'Tuga Tai' has managed to ensure health facilities in the county have drugs and adequate health workers apart from managing to contain nurses during a time there was a 5-month nurses union national strike.
"This is more of a blessing to me as our leader has humbled himself to seeing and giving us certificate of congratulations as we eagerly approach the new year," said Chebet Winnie, a patient admitted in the hospital.
"It's a good idea as it gives them hope of pushing on to received the new year with joy," added Mary Rutto, a resident of Namgoi in the county.
