Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has laid bare the one thing that will determine if Deputy President William Ruto will succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 or not.
According to the Senate Majority Leader, Ruto has an upper hand in the election in which Kenyans will elect Kenya's fifth president.
Ruto according to Murkomen also has an advantage in clinching the top seat given Jubilee administration's success development record.
He, however, said what will primarily determine whether the DP will ascend to State House will be the implementation of Jubilee's manifesto as well the Big Four agenda.
"The greatest beneficiary of the implementation of the Jubilee manifesto and the Big Four agenda is the Jubilee presidential candidate who will be vying for election on the 9th of August 2022," he said in a video posted on his official Twitter account.
"If you want to elect a presidential candidate from Jubilee, we have to make sure the Big Four agenda is delivered, we have to make sure that the manifesto is delivered so that in 2022 when we are asking for presidential votes, the president who will be retiring will go home happy and the president who will be coming in will use the same legacy to win the election."
He expressed optimism that Ruto will clinch the presidency with ease to become Kenya's fifth president.
