Kethi Diana Kilonzo is the daughter of the former Makueni Senator, late Mutula Kilonzo.
Kethi is among the country’s young and brilliant lawyers.
She came into public limelight during the 2013 presidential petition that had been filed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta's election.
Kethi’s eloquence and mastery of the English language during the presidential petition hearing made her famous.
After the petition, Kethi was fronted as a candidate in the Makueni by-election after her father’s sudden death.
She later quit the race after her step-mother declared an interest in the seat.
Kethi argued that she could not contest against her mother.
She has remained silent even as claims emerge that she could contest for a political seat in 2022.
Kethi Kilonzo was born in 1977 and raised up in Makueni.
She also schooled in Makueni for her primary and secondary education.
Kethi graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Nairobi (UoN) in 2000.
In 2001, she graduated with a Post Graduate Diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law (KSL).
Kethi also has a Master’s Degree in International Law from the University of Nairobi.
She is an Advocate of the High court.
Kethi is also a Certified Public Accountant.
The young lawyer is also a lecturer in one of the local universities in Nairobi.
Kethi is also a partner in the Mutula & Co advocates, a law firm started by her late father.
She is a sister to the Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior.
