Babies forget a lot as they grow up, but very few forget the fear and imaginary pain of hospital injections, I am yet to forget mine too.
Almost all of us who grew up in Nakuru were at some point subjected to the medical services of one Dr. Mojaria as babies.
Mojaria was an Indian doctor who established his clinic along the popular Kanu street, right next to the iconic Jumuia Guest House, and was famed for his skills when dealing with children.
Therefore, most mothers and expectant women found themselves at the tiny clinic queueing to have their babies checked.
His fame grew to an extent that all nursing mothers were referred to him.
At the same time, he made it worth it by giving his best, doubling the fame as women can be very good advertisers.
However, with time he would later disappear into thin air, very few noticing it until he was completely out of the picture, his clinic being inherited by one Dr. Shanti Haria, another Indian.
But his fame is yet to leave the lakeside town and the feeling of his stethoscope on our chests yet to evaporate from our minds every time we pass by and remember the words 'Dr. Mojaria' which have now been replaced with Dr. Shanti Haria.
