This will help verify if indeed the land belongs to you.Place a caution about protecting your land against illegal selling.A lawyer will help you place a formal notice to a court preventing any party from conducting transactions with the lost title deed. A lawyer will help you fill in a declaration form containing details on when the title was lost and the search efforts put in place to find it. Publishing your name in the Kenya GazetteThe registrar uses the declaration forms as evidence of the loss and once satisfied he/she will publish your name in the Kenya Gazette to notify the public of lost title deed. Confirmation of whether you followed the due procedureThe registrar confirms whether you followed the due procedure and upon payment of a requisite fee an approval for the issuance of a new title deed is given.
