Renown political analyst and the University of Nairobi lecturer professor Herman Manyora has weighed to the political discussion that followed Francis Atwoli comments.
According to Manyora, Atwoli is entitled to his own opinion however, the danger comes on how his statement will be interpreted by the majority of Kenyans.
"You are entitled to your own opinion. However, whatever it meant, it has only one interpretation to a majority of Kenyans. Therefore, you owe it to yourself, your friends, Kenyans and DP Ruto to explain what you really mean," Prof Manyora opined in his youtube channel.
Manyora further said Atwoli needs to apologize to Ruto, stating that should anything wrong happen to Ruto going forward then that can cause enmity between Luhyas and Kalenjins in the country.
"I think you can buy the bullet and apologize to William Ruto. Because I imagine and God forbid, should something happen to William Samoe Ruto, you would have planted a seed of enmity between Kalenjins and the Luhyas that would take generations to heal," Manyora added.
The Central Organization of Trade Unions(COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli had said that the name of Deputy President William Ruto will not in the presidential ballot come 2022. The statement has been the centre of political discussion for a good part of this week.
