He said the government has put in place systems to ensure 100% transition from primary to secondary school, adding that no parent should let their children stay at home.

Addressing the media in Eldoret on Thursday, Saoinah noted that the full force if the law will be unleashed on those who deny children right to education.

"As the government, we want to ensure 100 percent transition from primary to secondary. No matter the marks you child got, he or she must transit to secondary school," he said.

He vowed to visit several households in the area, and ensure no child remains at home while others are in school.

"I urge parents to help the government in implementing 100 percent transition, by reporting parents who are denying their children their right to education. I promise to take stern action against them," he added.

He cautioned principals against increasing school fees, adding that the set standard should be maintained, failure to which disciplinary action will be taken against those found guilty.
