James OrengoJames Orengo is the Siaya Senator. He was the student leader at the University of Nairobi, the Student Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) chairman in 1972. He studied law.
Kipchumba MurkomenMurkomen is the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator. He also attended the University of Nairobi where he studied law. He was elected the chairman of the Kenya Law School Students Society.
Hassan OmarOmar is the former Senator for Mombasa County. Hassan Omar went to Moi University. He was once the chairman for Moi University Students Organization (MUSO). However, he got expelled for demanding that the institution's name be changed.
Johnson SakajaSakaja is the current Nairobi Senator. He attended the University of Nairobi. He was the vice chairman of the Actuarial Science Students Association.
Ababu NamwambaThe former Budalangi Member of Parliament attended the University of Nairobi. He served as the Campus representative at the SONU for UoN Parkland Campus.
Babu OwinoPaul Ongili, aka Babu Owino is the latest student leader to become a politician. He served as one of the strongest student leaders at UoN, as the SONU chairman.
