It feels great when the President spares his time to attend your wedding. President Uhuru Kenyatta has proven that he loves weddings after making an appearance on several of them.

Uhuru has attended weddings while in power as well as before he ascended to the nation’s top seat. Here are four weddings Uhuru has attended since he took office in 2013.

1. Charity Ngilu's son's wedding

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu had the privilege of hosting President Uhuru Kenyatta during his son's wedding.  The son of the county boss, Yalo Ngilu and his bride Anne Maina wedded in 2013. 

The event was attended by Uhuru and his wife Margaret among other guests from different parts of the nation. Ngilu was the then, Cabinet Secretary of Lands, Housing, and Urban Settlement.

2. Najib Balala’s son's wedding

President Uhuru crowned Najib Balala's son wedding, Naeem Balala when he walked down the aisle with Safiya Omar Sherman. The event was held at the Vipingo Ridge in Kilifi county in August 2015.

3. Meru governor  Kiraitu Murungi's daughter's wedding

Uhuru and his wife also attended the wedding of Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi.  Nkatha Murungi walked down the aisle with one Eddie Omondi at the Holy Trinity Church in Kileleshwa, Nairobi in 2013. The event was not only colorful but was also attended by high profile Kenyans from different parts of the nation.

4. Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura's wedding

Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura’s wedding with Nelius Rwamba was also attended by the head of state. The President attended the event because of the great friendship he shares with the lawmaker. Mwaura crossed over from ODM to back Jubilee in the last general elections.
