The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) on Wednesday launched a probe on the county boss over the alleged scandal.

But addressing the press outside his offices on Thursday, Lenorkulal turned the heat on his officers accused of using tricks to award themselves county tenders.

The group which includes his personal assistant is being accused of forming briefcase companies and awarding themselves county tenders.

But Lenorkulal has distanced itself from them, saying that they will have to carry their own cross and he should not be included in their woes.

He added that he is ready to collaborate with the EACC in the ongoing investigations.

“As a government structure we are fully open to investigations and we will fully cooperate with all the investigators to ensure that this matter is dealt with," he told the Citizen Digital.

This comes only a day after EACC detectives raided the Governor's homes in the posh Karen Estate in Nairobi and another one in Maralal, Samburu county.

Homes of various County Ministers and County Assembly Speaker Solomon Lempere were also raised and searched for evidence.

Lempurkel also urged EACC to be honest in the ongoing investigations and not use it to settle scores.
