As it stands,  Deputy President William Ruto is one who has for the longest time has made clear his intention to vie for the presidency.

Renowned political analyst and Professor Herman Manyora through his weekly YouTube release has discussed how DP Ruto risks being out of Kenyan politics for unforeseen future should he lose 2022 bid.

The analyst says whoever will win the election in 2022, which he reckons will be a two-horse race of 'handshake team's and 'Ruto team', will vanquish the one who loses for many reasons.

"If the handshake team wins,  Ruto would have given them such a hard time that they would not want to see him around," the analyst said.

"Because of that we will go into the future minus the Ruto team and for many years to come," he added.

According to the analyst, the handshake team will make Kenya a one-party state that would effectively lock out DP Ruto.

The analyst says the trend will continue until a time which there will be a reaction against the monolithic arrangement that would have been put in place in 2022 which may take even 30 years.

"Perhaps after 30 to 40 years, there will be a generational move to change from the conservative team that was put in place in 2022, that's where Kenya will have a two party arrangement," the analyst said.
