"We don’t have an MoU with anyone to support them in 2022. If they agreed that with President Kenyatta, that is their problem. Let us meet at the ballot,” Murathe claimed during a function in Vihiga.

He further added that  Kikuyu community does not have an MoU with anyone regarding the 2022 elections. Kabogo has dismissed Murathe's sentiments adding that the politician's utterances have no authority.

Kabogo held that Murathe was politically broke after he sold he parliamentary seat to Royal Media Services boss SK Macharia.

"Murathe has no authority to speak on anyone’s behalf. Who is he to ask DP Dr. WSR to retire from politics in 2022 we’ve not forgotten he sold his parliamentary seat to SK Macharia. He’s politically broke," Kabogo's wrote on Twitter.

Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe made the remarks in Vihiga during the 39th Maragoli cultural celebrations held at Municipal Grounds, Mbale.

The cultural event was graced by Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa ,ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and COTU boss Francis Atwoli. He observed that the two had led the country for two terms and should both retire in 2022.

The leaders appeared to pitch for Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi to succeed Uhuru in 2022.

In July this year, Elgeyo Marakwet senator and DP's close ally Kipchumba Murkomen claimed that Murathe, Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, were working behind the scenes to frustrate Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.
