Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi has said that Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has failed.
Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, Wanyonyi said Sonko has not fulfilled the promises he made to the people of Nairobi.
Wanyonyi stated that the governor has now resorted to sideshows.
"At first, the Nairobi Governor said he has to deal with the mess left by the previous government but three years later, we are not seeing any change which is why leaders of Nairobi are now coming up to speak," he said.
His Mathira counterpart Rigathi Gachagua said that the people of Nairobi are to blame for the election of the governor.
He argued that Sonko's style of leadership has failed to work.
"Nairobi people cannot be trusted with picking proper leadership. Jubilee Party has a responsibility to hold Nairobi Governor accountable. It is up to Nairobi Senator, Johnson Sakaja to do something practical; his job," he said.
Sonko allegedly received multiple bribes as well as orchestrated irregular awards of tenders to different companies in the country.
