State House Secretary for Digital Innovation Dennis Itumbi was on Wednesday kicked out of the VIP podium during the launching of BBI Report.
Hawk-eyed presidential security team was captured whisking Itumbi out of the podium as he struggled to hold on to the ground.
Understandably, Itumbi had gone to take a video when President Uhuru Kenyatta was addressing the nation during the launch of the exercise.
Before the ordeals, Itumbi had accused Interior PS Karanja Kibicho and unnamed people in the Office of the President of discriminating certain politicians in the programme.
In recent days, Itumbi has been closely working with Deputy President William Ruto.
During his speech, President Uhuru Kenyatta narrated how it was difficult for him to reach a political truce with ODM leader Raila Odinga.
"Kukutana kwetu haikuwa kitu rahisi... tulikuwa na hofu... nilikuwa najiuliza... huyu mtu tukikutana tutaambiana nini?" he said.
(Our meeting wasn't easy. We had fears. I was asking myself, what will I tell this person?).
The President who spoke at the Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday during launching of BBI report, said it took him 45 minutes before starting to discuss the road to reunite Kenya.
"Tulikunywa chai 45 minutes na hakuna mwenye alikuwa anaogea... ilikuwa tunauliza; habari ya nyumbani... habari ya mama.... wako tu.... habari ya watoto... wako sawa," he said.
(We took tea for 45 minutes and we were speaking nothing. We only engaged on normal greetings, how our families were doing and so on).
Uhuru also accused political elites of dividing Kenyans. He called for political maturity, adding that people don't deserve to be divided.
Also present were ODM leader Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka among others.
