According to the senator, Benedict Kyule (17) called his father on phone from his hideout after he was shot on the leg.

The deceased's father Kioko Kasangili's efforts to seek help from police officers hit a snag when the deceased's body was delivered at his home.

The deceased was also shot on the chest.

Police said they recovered a G3 rifle allegedly owned by the boy from the scene.

“Benedict Kyule (17 yrs )called his father at 5 am. He had been shot on his leg and was hiding. His father sought the assistance from the police . At 11 am, KWS delivered a lifeless child with a gun shot wound on the chest (close range shot) and a G3 rifle. Who wanted him dead?” Mutula Kilonzo Junior Tweeted on Monday.

Kilonzo Junior made the calls after a social media user, Kitavi Mutua, highlighted the murder incident and urged Kenyans to stand up against brutal deaths in KWS rangers' hands.

“This impunity by @kwskenya rangers must stop. @FredMatiangi @tunajibu @JBoinnet @SenMutula @TsavoConserve what was so difficult to arrest this unarmed Form Four #student? Hata kama, he had trespassed, surely must you kill?”
