Khalwale who was speaking in Malava constituency on Saturday in a video posted on his official Twitter account said Raila can never be trusted with the presidency as he is unreliable.

He said the former Langata MP is a 'political thug' who should never be entrusted with the country's leadership.

"I just want to beg one thing that you should be careful about," he said while making reference to members of the Luhya community.

"Be careful that Hon Raila Odinga does not have the agenda of Kenyans at heart and he is a political thug who should not be given the opportunity to become the President of the republic of Kenya."

Khalwale, a former Parliament's Public Accounts Committee Chairman, also, since the ouster of Ford Kenya Party Leaders Moses Wetangula from his prestigious Senate Minority Leader position has been one of Raila's principal critics.

He said members of the Luhya community should never abandon their 'brothers' from Luo Nyanza but that they should do it in Raila's exclusion.

Khalwale blames Wetangula's troubles on Raila who he said sanctioned the Bungoma senators removal from the Senate post.
