Former Kakamega gubernatorial hopeful Boni Khalwale has joined DP Ruto in rubbishing the contemplated constitutional changes.
Posting the sentiments in his official Twitter handle, Khalwale echoed the Deputy President's assertion that the prospective referendum is never meant to benefit the poor Kenyans but to promote selfish ambitions of the political class.
Khalwale revealed that the intention for the constitutional changes is to revive and sustain the glory of politicians whose relevancies are dwindling.
He argued that the status quo perpetuated by the dominant families in the political field should not be given space moving toward.
"Constitutional Reforms intended to massage the egos of the scions Kenya's dynasties must fail," argued Khalwale.
The vocal politician showered accolades to the Deputy President for rejecting the selfish political endeavours and fighting for the common mwananchi.
The former Ikolomani legislator opined that DP Ruto was representing the poor Kenyans in agitating for issues that would benefit them in the long run.
"Congratulations @WilliamsRuto, u are speaking for the sons n dotas of the holoi polloi," the former Kakamega Senator told Ruto.
Kakamega's ex-senator noted that majority of Kenyans are the poor class, who faced a myriad of challenges that need relevant solutions and not 'useless' political gimmicks advanced by politicians.
