Deputy President William Ruto’s political camp seems to be getting into political confusion long before the 2022 presidential race.
Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos is the latest politician to denounce the famous ‘Tangatanga' movement which is believed to be solidly behind the self-proclaimed hustler’s 2022 presidential bid.
Responding to the exit of his governor from Ruto’s political board, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen avoided more politics.
The firebrand legislator said that he is paying more focus on service delivery.
“My greatest focus now is to serve the people of Elgeyo-Marakwet including addressing matters insecurity in Kerio Valley. I do not have time now to engage in sideshows,” Murkomen said.
On his part, Soy constituency MP Caleb Kositany dismissed the claims by the governor that the DP is not easily accessible.
According to Kositany, DP Ruto can be accessed anytime. “This is a very cheap way of doing things. The DP is very accessible. Nobody has been blocked from seeing him."
Tolgos ditched Ruto’s camp shortly after former Uasin Gishu county gubernatorial aspirant and businessman Kiprop Bundotich Zedekiah alias Buzeki distanced himself from the ‘ Tanga tanga' group.
These moves have been termed as blows to Ruto’s 2022 presidential ambitions.
