After the Kisii Governor James Ongwae, Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama, Kisii Senator Sam Ongeri and Kitutu Chache North Mp Jimmy Angwenyi were asked to get out of the meeting organised by President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga, Dagorreti MP Simba Arati called Raila Odinga over the same.
Arati who is eyeing the top seat in Kisii county, while speaking in Nyamira on Friday at a Harambee at Riatuya SDA church, revealed that Raila denounced the claims made by the media over he oust of Kisii legislators from Kisumu lounge saying it was a Luo Nyanza affair.
"I called Mzee (Raila) this morning and asked him whether its true that Kisii leaders were sent away from the meeting. He told me there is nothing as such! " Simba Arati said.
"I want to say that we are steadfast. I am a gatekeeper of the handshake and we want to ensure the handshake is at work." Arati added.
Although it was in the media, the true version of the story has not been revealed. Nyamira Governor also denounced the claims saying they were not sent away.
Arati once challenged Raila wanting to be the leader of the ODM party. However, he lost to Raila in the elections that was conducted by the party legislators
