It is a common phenomenon that women apply makeup testers before buying them. The big question, have you ever asked yourself is the dangers you pose to yourself by doing so?

Trying testers means sharing those stuff like lipstick or mascara with someone you don't know, strangers, which puts your health at risks.

In 2015, it was reported a woman was completely paralyzed after sharing a makeup brush with a friend who had an infection. The infection affected her spinal thus leaving her paralyzed.

The woman later shared a video on Facebook, showing how she was struggling to regain strength in her muscles that could enable her to walk again after months on a wheelchair.

Here is the video, which was titled "There's been lots of sleepless nights and days spent sleeping. There's been vomiting, tremendous pain." by Jo Thomas, the victim from Australia.

Another woman alleged that she contracted herpes from lipstick tester in a cosmetic shop in the US. We know the herpes virus is deadly and one of the STIs. It spreads through various ways including sex, kissing, skin contact etc.

Makeup tears can also lead to "pink eye", whose symptoms include eye redness, watery discharge and, in extreme cases, irreversible blindness.

The best way is to use your own makeups without sharing with even family members.
