Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna has exuded confidence in the newly appointed University Education Principal Secretary Simon Nabukwesi.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Sifuna said that he has no doubt that Nabukwesi is the right man for the job. He noted that the Former Ambassador of Kenya to Canada will ensure that there is improvement in the education sector after he was given the chance to assume the office following the changes in the cabinet by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Nabukwesi is a foremost educationist. One of the finest in the world. I have no doubt he will add value at University Education docket. Congratulations Omwami,” he tweeted.
President Uhuru announced the changes in the cabinet during a state of the address in Mombasa. The head of state sacked Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjiri in the new changes as he seeks to deliver on his promises before the end of his tenure in office.
The head of state has reiterated that he will not tolerate government officials who engage in sideshows at the expense of development. He has promised to initiate more changes in his government until he achieves the Big Four Agenda.
