Speaking on Sunday, the former Vice President insisted that his good relationship with the former Premier remains intact, despite his attacks on Raila in his recently released book.

In his book, 'Soaring Above The Heights of Passion', Mudavadi accuses Raila of being a man of double standards and a cunning leader who is hardly sincere.

And though the book has attracted attacks from Raila's allies, including the ODM boss himself, Mudavadi says it has not affected their relationship in anyway.

“If there is any perceived falling out between me and him, it can only be fantasised by those making the allegations. All I know is that Mr Odinga and I hold and respect our differing viewpoints very much. People who are fantasising about a fallout need to read the book and understand the context of my perceptions," he told the Sunday Nation.

In the book, for instance, he portrays Raila as a man who always has a second secret plan, which he says played out during their days together at the National Super Alliance (NASA).

He says that after Raila's loss to President Uhuru Kenyatta, he proceeded to suddenly push for a boycott of the October 26, 2017 rerun, which had not been discussed by the NASA principals.

He also claims that Raila proceeded to Uhuru Park for his People's President mock coronation without the knowledge of NASA leaders, after an initial agreement to drop the plan.

In response days after the release of the book, Raila came out to question Mudavadi's memory, as his (Raila) allies mocked Mudavadi for writing a whole book about the him.
